The Cartier Tank needs no introduction, but just in case: not only is it one of the oldest and most enduring watch designs, it’s also one of the most sought-after models in the current market. Louis Cartier, the founder of the brand, invented the Cartier Tank watch in 1917. The shape and name of the Cartier Tank are actually inspired by the top-down view of a Renault FT-17, a French army tank used during World War I.
This is a classic and elegant Cartier Tank Louis, with all the hallmarks of the brand, including a silver dial with black Roman numerals and a railroad track. The watch features blued hands and a blue cabochon-topped winding crown. Both the dial and case are in superb condition, with the dial also featuring a discreet Cartier logo at 7 o’clock.
This classic Tank is paired with a fine Bulang and Sons strap and an 18k yellow gold Cartier pin buckle. The watch is powered by a quartz movement, which has been fully checked and fitted with a new battery by our watchmaker.
There is a lot of love for Cartier at the moment, and we have a great track record of selling them. Please reach out if we can help you in any way with more information!
